2v2 League Brings Ranked Team Play to Clash Royale
Clash Royale launched its first competitive 2v2 League, a two-stage ranked ladder for duos running from November 12–25, 2024.
2v2 had long been a casual-only mode, but in November 2024 Supercell gave it a competitive structure for the first time with the 2v2 League.
The mode used a two-stage format: players first climbed a Casual League where losses cost nothing, then graduated to a Competitive League seeded from their Trophy Road progress, with rank determined by performance — similar to Path of Legends.
Rewards included exclusive badges (with final placements stamped for the top 1,000 players), emotes, and Season Tokens redeemable in a dedicated Season Shop. The initial season ran November 12–25, 2024, and the experiment fed into the larger competitive-mode reworks of 2025.
